Heavy machinery, including graders, excavators and compactors, has replaced the hand tools that were once used by residents. Power lines are also being relocated to pave the way for the road works, while the laying of tarmac is underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on the milestone, Wamacukuru said the project reflects his commitment to service, accountability and delivering on promises made to the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;A promise doesn&#8217;t expire. Ten years ago, I gave the people of Kihururu my word, and today that commitment is being fulfilled,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MP reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Kabete through infrastructure development, assuring residents of Kihururu, Nyathuna and the wider constituency that he would continue implementing projects that improve livelihoods and stimulate economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once completed, the upgraded Kihururu Road is expected to enhance connectivity, ease transportation, support local businesses and improve access to essential services for thousands of residents in Kabete Constituency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kabete MP James Wamacukuru has fulfilled a promise he made more than a decade ago by overseeing the upgrading of Kihururu Road to bitumen standards.
