Githunguri Member of Parliament Hon. Gathoni Wamuchomba has continued to demonstrate her commitment to improving learning environments across the constituency after commissioning renovated classrooms at Kiawairia Primary School in Komothai Ward.

The project, implemented through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), involved the renovation of classrooms, including roofing and tiling, aimed at providing learners with safer, more conducive and dignified spaces for learning.

The commissioning marks another milestone in ongoing efforts to address infrastructure needs in schools within Githunguri Constituency, with education remaining a key priority in the constituency’s development agenda.

The renovated facilities are expected to improve the learning environment for pupils and provide teachers with better spaces to undertake their work.

Hon. Wamuchomba has consistently placed education and community development at the centre of her leadership, using NG-CDF resources to support projects that directly touch the lives of residents.

The Kiawairia Primary School project is a reflection of the impact of investing in basic education infrastructure, particularly in areas where schools require additional support to meet the needs of growing populations.

Residents of Komothai Ward welcomed the intervention, noting that improved school infrastructure plays an important role in motivating learners while enhancing the overall quality of education.

For Hon. Wamuchomba, the commissioning reinforces her message that development should be measured by tangible projects that improve the daily lives of constituents.

Her supporters continue to rally behind her leadership under the banner “Woman for the Job”, while the slogan “Kaba Maathe” continues to feature prominently in her grassroots mobilisation.

The completion of the Kiawairia Primary School renovations adds to the growing list of NG-CDF-supported interventions being undertaken across Githunguri as Hon. Wamuchomba continues to focus on education, infrastructure and community empowerment.
