n Kiambu Town, development is no longer a campaign slogan. It is visible, tangible, and happening brick by brick. And at the centre of this quiet transformation is Kiambu Town MP, Hon. At Tinganga Model Primary School, what is unfolding is more than a renovation. It is a complete rebirth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For years, learners at the school studied in overcrowded classrooms, within ageing structures that had not seen any meaningful renovation since the days of the late Hon. Njenga Karume. The walls were tired, the floors were dusty, and safety was a growing concern for parents and teachers alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the story is different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the NG-CDF, Hon. Machua Waithaka has already constructed 8 brand new modern classrooms to ease congestion and give every child space to learn with dignity. He has secured the school with a solid perimeter wall and installed a state-of-the-art modern gate, restoring not just security but pride to the institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the MP is not stopping at the new structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday, in his characteristic hands-on style, Hon. Waithaka held a consultative meeting at the school bringing together the Headteacher, the Board of Management (BOM), the contractor, the Public Works team, and the NG-CDF Chairperson to chart the next phase of transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a technical assessment by Public Works engineers, it was established that some of the old structures have deteriorated beyond repair and pose a safety risk to learners. In a decisive and responsible move, the MP agreed that the affected blocks will be brought down and rebuilt afresh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the national examinations are completed in two weeks, a full renovation will begin. The plan is ambitious and beautiful: new classrooms with new roofing, modern windows, new blackboards, and tiled floors. Cabro paving will be installed across the entire school compound to improve its appearance, eliminate dust, and ensure all-weather accessibility for learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, a wall will be constructed to separate the school from the playground, further enhancing the safety and focus of the children within the learning area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is what leadership looks like when it is driven by purpose, not publicity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hon. Machua Waithaka has consistently demonstrated that his politics is work. While others are busy with empty rhetoric, he is in schools, on roads, in hospitals and markets \u2014 listening, assessing, delivering. He does not just promise, he implements. He does not just launch, he completes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Tinganga Model Primary School, parents are happy, teachers are motivated, and learners have a reason to dream bigger \u2014 because their environment now tells them they are valued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 8 new classrooms, to a secure wall and gate, to the upcoming complete overhaul of old structures \u2014 Tinganga is becoming a model indeed, a true model of what a public primary school should be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is safe, it is modern, it is dignified. And it is a testament to a leader who believes that every child, regardless of background, deserves a conducive environment to pursue academic excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yangu Ni Kazi Tu is not just a hashtag for Machua Waithaka. It is a philosophy in action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
