Renowned Hon. Katani The Member of Parliament for the Kaloleni Constituency, has backed the members’ decision to leave the discussion of the National Government, also known as the NG-CDF, that was held in Mombasa.
The National Assembly members resolved their protest on the third day, after the Treasury agreed to take action on the CDF funds.
The Mp was discussing the direction of parliamentary work during a retreat of the National Assembly in Mombasa.
The fact that nearly 15,000 students who were meant to receive the funding are still waiting and still visiting, according to Hon. Katani is unfortunate.
“Government come up with a well-prioritised plan and framework which hive education a priority for our children to be in school on time”, he said
If things had not been completed by the deadline, MPs had earlier pledged to impeach the Treasury Cabinet Secretary.
