
Hon. Mushangi Karemba, a member of parliament from Runyenjes and the chair of the departmental committee on labor, told the media today that the protest by Mps to halt activities at the county levels has ended as a result of yesterday’s disbursement of monies.
At a press conference held in a Mombasa hotel, Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Moses Wetangula promised to engage the Mps and distribute the monies to their accounts, according to Hon. Mushangi.
Otherwise, he said that the fund is crucial for the nation since it will enable a large number of disadvantaged pupils to reenter the classroom.
He encouraged the Cs and treasury to try and c and assist in rectifying the crisis while praising the efforts the government has done to address the issue at hand.
He stated that members are currently being initiated into their duties within various committees, and since he is on the labor committee, he claimed that his committee is quite busy and aware of the labor issues that will be brought before them.
“I do not want to preempt but we are here to get ready for the assignments ahead.” Other than that We are also considering laws that will see Kenyans to go and work abroad…..He told Journalists In Mombasa.
He also made a suggestion that he would someday run for president.
