The Drought response report according to Ministry of East Africa Community on humanitrian needs aquick on drought response.
In December, alone government distributed to 14,000 houses and people in the worsen areas.
EAC Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano has said that the Government is encouraging communities to sell their livestock to cub the death of livestock.
The ministry has said, “we thank all the people who participated in the contribution of drought response.”she adds
The government has also assuared that there is no community will suffer.
Narok,Laikipia,Meru,West pokot and Taita Taveta are spme of the most affected areas.
Other affected counties are Baringo and West pokot in these areas are on a closer look.
“There is need to construct water boreholes to determine the already affected areas”,
“We have the data and pivoting ourself on long term measures going forward,”CS Miano
The ministry has said they are working with counties governments to cub the drought.
