The Food and Land Use Coalition has committed to engage 60 private organisations into shaping the way the country is preseving food and land use.
The association has decide to bring together private organisations in kenya to change the whole transformational sorounding food and sustainable farming.
FOLU Country Director Mr.Michael Onjabo said we are focusing on how people should consume food in a healthy way.
Speaking during Africa Climate Summit High level CEO’s Round Table on Green Growth Mr. Onjabo said our main focus in the upcoming Africa Climate Summit will be to influence policies that will mainly adress issues around food and land us,’he said
He said besides, land provides habitation where space is key to development of different niches from simple housing caves to complex manufacturing units.
Kenya’s food systems face many challenges ranging from their unsustainable nature, a major contribution to national carbon emissions, and detrimental impact on biodiversity. With millions of people suffering from hunger and malnutrition.
FLUC was started in 2017 globally with 9 patners about nine patners and also composed on representatives within the country.
Food and Land Use Coalition is a global partnership that brings together businesses, governments, civil society, and researchers to transform the world’s food and land use.
