Hon CS Rebecca Miano Celebrates Fathers

Investment, Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano has once again taken a moment to wish all fathers well. Fathers’ Day is observed today, the 16th of June worldwide. Hon CS Miano observes: “
“Fathers are our unsung heroes, a guiding light blessed by God, their dedication and love hold us together, making every sacrifice a gift. We celebrate you at the workplace and across the world.”
Fathers have a four-pronged role especially in the family setting – being a Priest, Provider, Protector, and Prophet,
As a Priest, the Father offers Spiritual guidance to his family and underscores the Centrality of God in their day-to-day work.
Secondly, as a Provider, all fathers go the extra mile to see to it that they sufficiently provide for their families, without failure.
As a protector, Father’s are always the first line of defence, protecting their family against aggression, attack or threat. This includes ensuring financial security, material security, welfare of all family members and ensuring all have a peace of mind.
And finally, as a Prophet, Fathers prophesy good tidings and speak Blessings to their family members. Not forgetting that Fathers offer crucial leadership and guidance and they are the Beacon of hope to their family members.
Indeed fathers are a very important pillar in any social setting. We wish all Fathers God’s blessings, favor, and protection. May they never lack

Rebecca Miano Wins, For the Umpteenth Time

There’s something special in the style of leadership of the Honarable Cabinet Secretary in the Minsitry of Investments Trade and Industry the Hon. CS Rebecca Miano, EGH. Reason I’m saying this is because the Hon CS serves with a lot of dedication, diligence, strong-will and a softly-crafted people-centric service. She also has a heart of gold. Keen to deliver on President William Ruto’s ambitious plan of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation agenda, CS Rebecca Miano spares no ounce of energy in articulating the Ministry’s Strategic Plan whilst also working in synergy with line ministries in order to forge a common goal for a collective win.
The Honorable CS was voted the Best Public Service Leader of the Year on Friday evening. Humbled by the honorous gesture, the kind-hearted CS Miano noted,
“Humbled to receive the award for the Public Service Leader of the Year during the East Africa 2024 Women of Excellence Awards. Reminds me of how great each girl can be! Congrats to Kenya Governors’ Chair Anne Waiguru
and all the trailblazers for your well-deserved awards.”

Congolese Coalition Unveils “Alliance Fleuve Congo” for National Unity and Stability

Story by Meresia Aloo

Various political, social, and military forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have come together under the banner of “Alliance Fleuve Congo” (AFC), aiming to restore stability, unity, and the dignity of the nation.

Citing the urgent need to address decades-long insecurity and internal displacement, the coalition emphasized the Congolese people’s responsibility in saving the state. The statement pointed to governance deficits, corruption, and the regime’s alleged unethical practices as major contributors to the nation’s challenges.

The coalition accused the current leadership, under Mr. TSHISEKEDI, of tribalism, embezzlement, discrimination, and outsourcing national security, leading to the prevalence of foreign mercenaries in the Eastern part of the country. The declaration highlighted the regime’s violation of the constitution, laws, and international treaties, describing recent electoral processes as compromised.

Under the principles outlined in Article 64 of the DRC’s constitution, the coalition’s call for unity is directed at political parties, civil society platforms, resistance forces, the armed forces, and community leaders. The newly formed AFC aims to establish a structured force for state rebuilding and address the root causes of conflicts, striving for lasting peace.

Patriots and advocates for change are invited to join the Alliance urgently, with a shared vision to save the country and rebuild a sovereign state that upholds the rule of law and ensures the safety of all citizens. The formation of AFC marks a significant step toward a united and peaceful future for the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Honorable MP for Mwea Constituency The Hon MP Mary Maingi.

“Pain has the power to spark revolutionary change.
When my mother lost her sight, it struck me deeply and personally. This experience fuels my motivation to organise Preventive and Free medical camps, with the intention of preventing any other family in Mwea Constituency from enduring the same hardship, by addressing potential health issues early on and providing necessary interventions.

The 2024 calendar of events has several medical camps, and I can’t wait to have them attend to the people of Mwea.

Which ward do you think should host the first medical camp in 2024?”
