Hakijamii on Monday launched the state of housing which details state of implementatiom of the big 4 housing agenda.

Amina Hashi, the Executive Director of Haki Jamii said that the main political parties are focusing on housing supply rather than demand.

Hashi said that main political parties fail to address the fundamental housing question.

“How do we improve the housing conditions for over 30 million Kenyans who live in adequate housing, mainly in slums and informal settlements: The same people who are most vulnerable to evictions?

The report urges the new housing policies to focus on upgrading of infrastructure and services and securing tenure in informal areas.
