Kenya women leaders association (KEWOLA)have called on President Ruto to honor his campaign promise on the gender equality.
Speaking in Nairobi, women lobby says, they are asking the President to honor his 50% promise in the cabinet.
Women Leaders under Kenya Women Leaders Association (KEWOLA) led by Hon Damaris Too Party leader ,Chama Cha Mapatano Kenya accompanied by Rose Mulwa who is the Chairlady Kenya Women Leaders Association (KEWOLA)says
“We applaud the election of Women Leaders to different positions because its a big milestones that the country has made that has seen more Women Governors elected in MERU, NAKURU, MACHAKOS, KWALE, HOMABAY, EMBU, & KIRINYAGA. We also congratulate Women Deputy Governors who were elected in different Counties and wish them the very best as they take their roles. We applaud the election of Women and Youthful Leaders, 100 Members of County Assemblies, 36 Members of Parliament, and 3 Senators.”they added
Hon.Too say these developments mean a lot to women and a nation as we work towards the attainment of the two thirds gender principle that is enshrined in our Constitution.”
She added that as movement, we want to remind the women who have been elected to such positions that they have an opportunity to do their best and set high standards for future women who are aspiring for positions to serve our beloved country.
